Overview
Become is a habit tracking app that helps you build daily routines around the identity you want to grow into. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled.
The short version: all your data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.
Information Stored on Your Device
Everything you enter in Become is stored locally on your device only:
- Your name, email, and bio (optional profile fields)
- Your profile photo (chosen from your device's photo library)
- Your habits, reminders, schedules, and completion history
- Journal notes and weekly review entries
- Your chosen identity and starter pack preference
This data is saved using on-device storage and never leaves your phone. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored data.
No Servers, No Tracking, No Ads
- We do not have user accounts or a backend server
- We do not transmit any data over the internet
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs
- We do not show advertisements
- We do not sell or share your data with any third party
Device Permissions We Request
- Notifications — to deliver the habit reminders you configure. You can disable these at any time in your device settings.
- Photo Library — only when you choose to set a profile photo. We access only the specific photo you select; we do not read your full library.
- Schedule Exact Alarms (Android) — to deliver reminders at the precise times you set.
Children's Privacy
Become is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted here with a new date. Since we do not collect your email, we cannot notify you directly — please check back if you have questions.
